Wednesday Night Youth Group

Ages 13 to 19: Wednesdays, 6:00 to 7:30 pm in the Youth Center

Mission Statement

The Wednesday Night Youth Group is dedicated to being a safe place for queer youth and allies between the ages of 13 to 19 years old who need information about the queer community.  We create this space through the use of the arts, discussions, and guest speakers; strive to keep our youth informed on risk reduction and give them the ability to make safe life choices as they grow.

Vision Statement

We direct youth to become active in their community and to see growth within our youth to become queer advocates for their generation by getting involved in community campaigns. We strive to expand the number of youth we reach by reaching out to both traditional and non-traditional places in the community that LGBTQ youth congregate.

Friday Night Youth Group

Ages 17 to 21: Fridays, 8:00 to 9:30 pm in the Youth Center

Mission Statement

The Friday Night Youth Group is a safe haven for LGBT youth where we support at-risk individuals, provide positive social interaction, promote a non-alcoholic youth culture, further LGBT education, and increase comfort in Sacramento for the LGBT community and our issues.

Vision Statement

In the Friday Night Youth Group, youth lead, train, engage, and motivate both the LGBT community and the community at large toward a complete understanding of equality where LGBT youth are a vibrant voice raising awareness and advocacy.
