Harm Reduction Intern Project
Harm reduction is a public health approach that aims to minimize the negative consequences of risky behaviors, particularly those related to substance use. Rather than focusing solely on abstinence, harm reduction meets people where they are, offering practical strategies to reduce health risks, such as providing clean needles, promoting safe sex practices, or offering naloxone to prevent overdose deaths. It’s rooted in the belief that all individuals deserve respect and support, regardless of their choices, with the goal of improving overall well-being and preventing harm. At the Center, we had a group of dedicated interns create an awareness campaign around Harm Reduction and created a space where their content can be shared. Please view the links below for their work, and follow us on social media to stay updated!
