Amidst a wave of anti-transgender legislation being pushed through Republican controlled states, the Sacramento LGBT Community Center applauds the Biden administration’s commitment to transgender people. These changes in guidelines and removal of barriers will improve the lives of transgender people in the region and across the nation. We implore congress to go further and codify some of these protections into law so they cannot be undone by a future administration.
