Dear Community:
As we head into what COVID-19 experts are calling “a dark winter”, it is important that we protect our loved ones by GETTING TESTED. This involves getting tested regularly, social distancing, and wearing a mask when out in public. Getting tested saves lives!
Despite all the uncertainties of living in a global pandemic, it is important to remember that the Center is always a safe and affirming space for all that need to get tested. The Center offers free COVID-19 testing to the community on Mondays and Tuesdays from 5 pm- 8 pm on the side of 1015 20th Street. We are one of a few organizations to offer free testing to community members in the downtown/midtown area. Please note that our testing is accessible to those who don’t drive as well as those who don’t have access to a car. Other free testing sites are drive-thru only.
Please remember to:
- Get tested often — tell those around you too!
- Wear a mask
- Practice social distancing
- Reconsider attending holiday gatherings!
- If you are sick, especially if you have a fever, are coughing or sneezing, or are experiencing shortness of breath, please stay home and contact your medical provider. If you do not have a healthcare provider, you can contact the Center for a list of LGBTQ-affirming medical providers in the region.
