The Sacramento LGBT Community Center is honoring Black excellence, culture, and experiences with its Celebrating Black Evolution: Past, Present, & Future series all February long. Tune in as we share stories, have conversations, and resource share with community.

Celebrating Black Evolution Book Club: For February the Center’s Youth Programs is reading a poetry book by Alice Walker “Hard Times Require Furious Dancing.” Alice describes her book as “a collection of poems composed over the course of one year in response to joy and sorrow both personal and global: the death of loved ones, war, the deliciousness of love, environmental devastation, the sorrow of rejection, greed, poverty, and the sweetness of home.” Join in the discussion on Friday February 25 at 5 p.m.
