The Sacramento LGBT Community Center held its third Queer and Trans Youth Art Show and Marketplace over the weekend!
19 Youth from the community and Center programs brought their artwork, hand-crafted jewelry, baked goods, and more to the Center’s Community and Lambda Founders rooms on Saturday, April 23. About 200 people visited the marketplace and bought $2000 worth of art, goods, and crafts from youth.
We’re always excited to put this event on for both youth and community because creating a region where LGBTQ+ people thrive starts with our community’s youth. The Queer and Trans Youth Art Show and Marketplace provided an excellent opportunity to inspire youth to share their artwork, learn skills in marketing, and ultimately gain the knowledge and skills needed for self-sufficiency!
